Johnnie F. Horrison "Big 9"

May 28, 1950 — December 18, 2019

Mr. Johnnie F. Horrison was born May 28, 1950 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the son of Reverend Willie F. and Edna Horrison. He passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 69 years.

Johnnie, known as “Big 9”, was a family man. He enjoyed being around family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. There was one grandson and one great-grandson whom he shared a special bond with and he called them “Tatta-bug” and "Quay." Johnnie enjoyed the days when he could sit and talk to his grandchildren about what the city of Saginaw was like before they were born. He called them “the good ole days.”

Johnnie liked going out to eat and shopping at Walmart, SAMS Club, Ollie’s and Family Dollar. He liked playing dominoes, card games and riding around the city listening to the blues. His love for life and family has left us with a lifetime of memories.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Willie F. and Edna Horrison; sister, Mary Ann Horrison; brothers, Larry, Cleo and Cornell Horrison; grandparents; six aunts; more than three uncles; mother-in-law, Ethel Beverly; brother-in-law, Simon Neloms.
