Jimmie Tyson

Mr. Jimmie Jean Tyson passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born December 16, 1953, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, to S.W. Tyson and Celleansten Robinson.

Mr. Tyson was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, scratching lottery tickets, and watching westerns. Jimmie loved to laugh and crack corny jokes. He will be missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Debra Tyson; one daughter and one son, Tiffany Renee Tyson and Dantae Lamon (Latania) Tyson; seventeen grandchildren, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Derwin (Zhane) Andrews, CaDora and Keyatta Tyson, Tayvion Brown, Joe Willie Jones Jr., Seiairah Page, Kevyn Reyes, Dantae Tyson, Jr., Darnell Jones, Kentaeya Tyson, Deontrane Anderson, Tayionna Tyson, Deon Anderson, Jr., Chaniya Bond, Deontae Anderson, Danaija Bond, and Trinity Anderson; fourteen great-grandchildren, Mariah Tyson, London Hampton, Autumn Williams, Sincere Lawrence, Joe Willie III, Jovon, and Journey Jones, Karanique Wright, Ja’Lyoni Jones, Dantae Tyson III, DaSiya and Zhaire Andrews, Tayvion Jr. and Taylen Brown; seven sisters, Linda Tahone and Dana Hill, Austin, Texas, Diane Patton, McClain, Mississippi, Patricia Nelson, Saginaw, Michigan, Tonya Tyson, Shreveport, Louisiana, Catrina Tyson, Houston, Texas, and Pamela Tyson, Gulfport, Mississippi; four brothers, Anthony Conerly, Austin, Texas, John Conerly Sr., Saginaw, Michigan, Carl Tyson, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Dennis Tyson, Pensacola, Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins; two aunts, Dorothy Hooker-Bady, Saginaw, Michigan, and Mary Ann Ducre, Des Moines, Iowa; two uncles, Cleveland (Lynn) Ducre, and Larry “L.C.” Ducre, Saginaw, Michigan; one sister-in-law, Christine Mason, Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers-in-law, Steve (Pamela) Mason, Harper, Colorado, and Mark Mason, Saginaw, Michigan; goddaughters, Dana Hill, and Dorothy Ducre, Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including a good friend, Joe Grace.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, S.W. Tyson; mother, Celleansten Ducre Robinson; second mom, Ida Lee Sams; grandparents, Anthony “Jim” and Rosie Ducre; brother, Napoleon Conerly Sr.; sisters, Hattie B. Taylor, Denise Conerly, and Renee Tyson; aunt, Mae Edna Nelson; uncles, Alan “A.C.” Jones and Freddy Ducre; mother and father-in-law, Winston Sr. and Ernestine Mason; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn and Lynn Mason; brothers-in-law, Lemuel Patton Sr., Winston Mason Jr., and Terry Mason.
