Our beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Mr. Jerome Roni George made his transition from earth to be with the Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center after losing his battle with cancer at the age of 55 years. He was born June 17, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Marshall and Ida George.
Jerome was a 1979 graduate of Saginaw High School. He served our country by joining the United States Army in March 1982. Jerome received an honorable discharge in March 1985. He was later employed by General Motors Corporation. Jerome accepted Christ at an early age and attended Word of Faith International Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Byron C. Hayes.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, LaTasha Creshawn Hill of Aberdeen, North Carolina; two sisters, Lorraine (Kenneth) Bond of Plano, Texas and Juanita George of Saginaw, Michigan; Jerome was affectionately known by his nieces and nephews as Uncle Roni. His beloved nieces, Kaaya Keyan Bond (Sanetrick) Nunn of Frisco, Texas and Ciara Charniece Rouster of Jackson, Mississippi; one nephew, Jerrett Marshall (Toni) McGhee of Vicenza, Italy; great niece and nephews including one special great-nephew, Sanetrick Darnell Bond of Frisco, Texas, Jadakiz, Stephon and Tess McGhee all of Vicenza, Italy; cousins, JW (Lou) Scott of Bensenville, Illinois, Robert (Shirley) George of Big Rapids, Michigan, John (Lynn) George of Saginaw, Michigan, Ameenah Ahmad of Powder Springs, Georgia, Gwendolyn Bowman of Saginaw, Michigan, Evelyn Houston of Elmhurst, Illinois and Mary Ann Garrett of Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Terry Young, Anthony Coleman, Cathy Rouster, Terrie Davis and family friend, Luanda Canty.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Ida George, one brother, Eugene Palmer, one sister, Rosena George and grandmother, Martha Lewis.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his sister, Juanita George, Terry Young, the staff of Covenant Healthcare- Cooper and Harrison, Henry Ford Medical Center and Hospice Unit, VA Palliative Care Unit, the Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church family, Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
