James Lindsey

Mr. James “Larry” Lindsey was born February 28, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Henry Sr. and Leatha Lindsey. He passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at McLaren Hospital in Flint, Michigan. Age 63 years.

James lived in Saginaw most of his life until he moved to Burton, Michigan in 1990. He worked for the General Motors Corporation Grey Iron Foundry, the Water Plant and Pickle Factory. He was a hard worker and took pride in being able to provide for his family.

James loved his wife dearly and enjoyed quality time with her. He was a good father that loved his children and loved playing with his grandchildren. He liked to dance, joke around, watch television and visit with his friends. He was a self-proclaimed chef that enjoyed cooking. He will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sandra Lindsey; daughter, Deana Marie Linzy-Bentley; three sons, James (Serena Thomas) Bowes, Larry Bowes, Elijah Bowes; stepson, Michael Ducre; twenty-four grandchildren; two nephews, Kenneth Lowe, Henry “Mo Mo” Lindsey; cousin, Jeanette Byers; sisters-in-law, Neomi (Anthony Lyle) Ducre; Alfreda Ducre, Betty Altman; brothers-in-law, Darrell and Freddie Ducre; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Leatha Lindsey; sister, Georgia Marie Lindsey; aunts, Cora Cole, Vertis Mae Robinson; uncles, Calvin and Steve Robinson; cousin, Nina “Nikki” Quinn; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Roslyn Ducre; sister-in-law, Debra Walker; brother-in-law, Coylee Ducre.
