James Emerson Jr. (Max) passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at James E. Cartwright Care Center surrounded by his family and friends. Age 49 years. He was born May 25, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan to Albert and Bertha Emerson.
James was a 1980 graduate of Saginaw High School. He attended Wilberforce University. After college he began two years active duty in the United States Army. He enjoyed sports and spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his companion, Tarra J. Davis; two sons, Paris Arthur Emerson, James Emerson; four daughters, Tiesha Emerson, Erica Emerson, Miracle Emerson, Tiera Davis; three grandchildren, Demari Emerson, Evontay Emerson, Jayden Emerson; two brothers, Dennis Emerson, Dempsly Emerson; his extended family, Demarcus Davis, Dominique Davis, Joshua Davis; including special friends, James Hulett and Lamont Fields; a special cousin, Charles Brown(C.B.); many other family and friends too numerous to name.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Covenant Cooper 7th floor ICU staff, Dr. Hughes, Dr. Solh and the staff of James E. Cartwright Care Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and Albert Emerson.
