Pierce, III of Arlington, Virginia and Roger A. Pierce (Deirdre) of Rancho Cucamonga, California; seven grandchildren, Stanley J. Phillips (Ariane) New Orleans, Louisiana, Michael I. Pierce (Rheana) , Arlington, Virginia, Maranatha A. Satchell, Regina C. Satchell and Samuel R. Satchell of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Marsalis A. Pierce and Starla I. Pierce of Rancho Cucamonga, California; four great grandchildren, Tayla R. Phillips, Jadan J. Phillips, Jadien T. Phillips, Taia E. Phillips all of New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Mary E. Jacobs; two brothers, Marvin Pierce (Deborah) Flint, Michigan, Theodore Braddock; one stepbrother, Nathan Merkerson ; one aunt, Naomi Mason, Chicago, IL; many other relatives, friends and godchildren including Donovon Smith, Roger Parker, Jadyn Parker, Tamia Taylor, Travis Taylor, Leonard Jones, Jr., Quincy Jones, Ursula L. Jones-Williams, Quinterria Jones, Michael Rincher, Jarvis Rincher, Rosalyn Williams-Griffin, James Howard and Percy McGee.
Deacon Pierce was preceded in death by his father, Ivan C. Pierce, Sr; mother, Willie M. Merkerson; Pastor K.M. Merkerson; two sons, Stanley J. Phillips and Anthony J. Pierce.
