Haywood Tinsley

Mr. Haywood Tinsley passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Covenant Select Specialty. Age 75 years. He was born July 15, 1936 in Camp Hills, Alabama to Walter and Ida Tinsley.
Haywood retired from General Motors Grey Iron Foundry after 48 years of Service and was a member of UAW Local 668. He enjoyed listening to blues and gospel music.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 17 years, Gladys Moore Tinsley; three step-children, Gwen (Bryant) Scott, Eric Pearson, Lacrown Pearson; thirteen grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (John) Burton, Agnes Roberson; brothers, James (Cleotha) Tinsley, Herbert Tinsley; mother-in-law, Gladys Moore; sisters-in-law, Josephine Tinsley, Joyce Adams, Marjorie Moore, Sittina Moore; brothers-in-law, Glenn (Jerry) Moore, Smith (Barbara) Moore Jr., Freddie (Lona) Moore, William Moore; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to Covenant Select Specialty 8th floor.
Haywood was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ida Tinsley; two brothers, Walter Tinsley Jr., Hubert Tinsley; three sisters, Martha Stewart, Fannie Mae Carpenter, Elizabeth Young; father-in-law, Smith Moore Sr.
