Gurvinder Pal Singh

June 6, 1986 — August 26, 2020

Gurvinder Pal Singh, lovingly called " Sonu", was born June 5, 1986 in Punjab, India to Baljit Kaur and Dalip Singh. He moved to Saginaw from New York City in 2011. He secured a job as a Manager at NY Convenient store. Sonu was a very dedicated and conscientious worker. He treated his customers with a high degree of respect and loyalty. He was very kind to his customers and worked diligently to ensure that their needs were met.

Sonu was a very spiritual individual. He always found time in his busy schedule to take time out for his daily prayers and worship. His kindred spirit would always see the positive traits in the individuals he encountered daily. He was very appreciative of the staff he selected to help him manage the store: Ms. Becky Turner, Ms. Krystal Stevenson, Mrs. Alisa Griffith, Mr. Qvon Perkins and his nephew Arashpreet. He enjoyed listening to Indian pop music and watching action packed Marvel movies.

Sonu was very proud of his family and very thankful to his sister Davinder for making sure he was eating properly. While he enjoyed his work, special friends and his ability to maintain a productive life in Saginaw, he truly missed having his son Sehajpreet here with him. However, he would always say that he was very proud that his sister Lakhwinder was taking care of his son and always had his best interest.

Gurvinder was preceded in death by his wife, Navneet Kaur; father, Dalip Singh; brother, Satwinder Singh.

He leaves precious memories with his son, Sehajpreet Singh, Punjab India; mother, Baljit Kaur, Punjab, India; sisters, Davinder Kaur, Saginaw, Michigan, Lakhwinder Kaur, Punjab, India; niece, Harneet Kaur, Saginaw, Michigan; nephews, Arashpreet Singh, Saginaw, Michigan, Ashmeet Singh, Punjab, India; brothers-in-law, Veerpaul Singh, Saginaw, Michigan, Jaberjit Singh, Punjab, India; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Jag Kapoor, Elverna Ponder, Lucious Roberson, Darlene Byrd, Willie Dean Thomas, Parmjit Singh and Ladi Multani.

The family would like to express special thanks to Henry Ford Hospital ICU Staff for the respect and care shown to Gurvinder and his family. Your kindness and care are greatly appreciated.
