Gisela Anneliese Johanne Clay made her peaceful transition to receive her eternal reward on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 57 years. She was born on July 13, 1956 in Bremerhaven, Germany, the only child born to Christel Sudau and Jack Young.
Her time here on earth was so precious. She was deeply rooted in her motherhood. Gisela had a quality of kindness demonstrated by her kind acts in life. Her salvation is secure as she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at an early age.
Giselas memory will be cherished by four loving daughters, Jasmin Andrea (Londel) Davis of Bronx, New York, Vernessa Stephanie-Alexandria Clay of Saginaw, Michigan, Christina Marie Clay of Atlanta, Georgia and Tonia Hufer of Germany; one loving son who was dear to her heart, Vernor Ray Clay II of Saginaw, Michigan; ten grandchildren, Dominic Davis, Shanell Davis, Londel Davis III and Lonee Davis, all of Bronx, New York, Tania Scott, Nevaeh and Antione Coleman, Ian Grant, all of Atlanta, Georgia, Arayah Clay and Cordae Thomas of Saginaw, Michigan; mother and father-in-law, Fred (Mable) Clay; many other relatives and friends including her very significant other, Wendell Ferrell, her special friends, the Pratt family, Jones family, Londel Davis family, Chism-Davis family, Parks family, Garcia-Lopez family, Pinewood Manor family, Coleman family, Williams family, Life in Christ Ministries and Paradise Funeral Chapel.
Gisela was preceded in death by her parents, Christel Sudau and Jack Young; two aunts, Hilda and Eva Dietenhoefer.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to all who extended condolences, shared memories and offered kind words. We, the Clay-Davis and extended family members acknowledge the many kind acts of love and sympathy expressed to our family during this time of bereavement.
