Gary W. Griffin was born January 6, 1950 in Hollandale, Mississippi to Willie Griffin and Louise Griffin-McCullum. He passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019, age 69 years.
Gary moved to Saginaw at a young age and began working for the General Motors Corporation Grey Iron Division in 1968. He remained employed with them until 1994 when he retired after 26 years of faithful service. He confessed Christ as a young man and was baptized at Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Harold Gates.
Gary enjoyed lawn work and had a love of cars, especially old school models. He was a soft spoken man but his words were always impactful. Those who know him well know that he was a private man. Gary was truly a gift and he will be dearly missed.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Louise McCullum; brother, Jack McCullum; and two sons at an early age, Gary W. Griffin, Jr. and Gary W. Griffin III.
