Fred Reese

October 21, 1923 — October 12, 2014

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Fred Reese departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the age of 90 years. He was born October 21, 1923 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Sheldon and Ella Reese.
Mr. Reese moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1941. He began employment with the Saginaw Malleable Iron Foundry and was a member of UAW Local 455. Mr. Reese retired after 49 years of faithful service. He enjoyed horse tracks all over Michigan. His wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy his devoted wife of 38 years, Minnie Reese; one daughter, Marie Reese (Preston Collins) of Saginaw, Michigan; one son and his wife, Freddie and Tiffney Reese of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Miera, Michael and Marcelez Hamilton, Daysha, Marquavion, Freddie, Markeene and Maliyah Reese and Shamiesha Hopkins all of Saginaw, Michigan, Diamond, , Diteshia, DMonsionna, Kayla and Elezus Whitley all of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hicks of Pinehill, Alabama, Lizzie Thompson of Saginaw, Michigan, Billy Franklin of Camden, Alabama, Albert and Willie Franklin both of Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, Ms. Lottie McClain, Mr. and Mrs. Menzies, Mr. And Mrs. Woods, Mr. and Mrs. Haynie and Mrs. L. Payne.
Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his parents, Sheldon Reese and Ella Tubbs, two brothers, Babe Ruth and Richmond Reese.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to our Hiland Street neighbors, Ms. Betty, Mrs. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Blanton, KG, Ms. Ruby, Mrs. Hamilton, Pastor Rodrick Smith and the Zion Missionary Baptist Church family, Visiting Physicians, Dr. Keeling and the staff of Grace Hospice, RJ, Abbey and Laura.
