My husband, Everett Toney, passed quietly into eternal life on July 19, 2023, at the age of 97 years. He was born January 12, 1926, in Bishopville, South Carolina, to Isaac and Gussie Stuckey Toney.

Everett was self-employed for over 40 years as a skilled carpenter. He and Joyce Ann Cook were married in 1981. Everett joined Truevine Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, and Head Usher for many years under the leadership of Pastor Paul E. Broaddus.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Joyce Toney; three daughters, Dorothy Toney (Charles) Williams, Belinda (Ronnie) Beck, and Monique Toney; two sons, Everett Paterson, and Blaine Youngblood; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Otelia Hickman, Jannie Toney, and Jessie Toney; one son-in-law, Curvin Roberson.
