Evelyn Terrell

June 23, 1953 — March 30, 2014

Evelyn Louise Rogan Terrell, our angel, outstanding mother, grandmother, sister and friend departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born June 23, 1953 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Margaret and Haywood Rogan Jr.
At an early age Evelyn accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, she continued to keep the faith until the end. She was a 1971 graduate of Ruben Daniels Lifelong Learning Center where she received her GED. Evelyn was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Earnest Brown. She was employed at Vlassic Pickle Factory in 1980. Evelyn enjoyed meeting new people and helping everyone. She always had a smile on her face. Evelyn loved to cook, talk on the phone and watch Lifetime. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband, Billy Ray Terrell Sr.; Stacy Terrell of Roseville, Michigan, Shawanda Terrell (Robert New) of Saginaw, Michigan and Ashley Terrell (Todd Stewart) of Fort Myers, Florida; one son, Billy Ray (Doris) Terrell of Saginaw, Michigan; fourteen grandchildren, LaDarrus, Quinton, Arlesha, Archia, Jaren, TraVandis, NyAsia, Neamiah, Brionta, JaKolby, Jacarri, Kanesha, Olivia and NeVaeh; one great-grandchild, Atlantis; five sisters, Joyce (James) Buriel, Gail (Charles) Rogan-McAbee, Debra and Valorie Toney, all of Saginaw, Michigan and Linda Rogan of Lansing, Michigan; one brother, Terry (Christine) Rogan of Pontiac, Michigan; four sisters-in-law, Delores (Herman) Hayes of Eldorado, Arkansas, JoeAnn Rogan JoJo, Sheila Rogan and Lavera (Curtis) Riggins, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one god-daughter, Ebonisha Moller; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Evelyn Couch, Ms. Addie Harper, Doreen Lowe, Mrs. Willie Mae Olford and Ms. Mildred.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Haywood Rogan Jr., brothers, Tony, Norris Sr. and Larry Rogan Sr. and a very dear sister, Patricia Rogan-Fuller.
The family wishes to express special thanks to St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church, New Faith Temple, Covenant Healthcare-Cooper, the staff of Mobile Medical Response, Visiting Nurses Association, Dr. Beverly Jarema, Sheldon Medical staff, Trista and Adrianna, Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel and everyone who sent words of greater encouragement and prayers.
