Era Smoot passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 78 years. She was born March 16, 2013 in delta, Mississippi to Ida and James Warren.
Era loved going to the casino, taking pictures, reading the bible and garage sales. She enjoyed listening to Bobby Jones and other gospel artist. Her favorite past time was spending precious time with her children and grandchildren. Era was a lover of life who enjoyed living life to the fullest and giving back whenever she can.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jessie Ratliff, Alice Smoot, Gloria (Kelvin) Glover, Regina Smoot, Earlean (David) Smoot, Nelson (Norene) Smoot, Edmon Smoot, Willie Smoot; thirty-two grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Jackson, Selma Warren, and Dorothy Jennings; three brothers, Jimmy Warren, Ed Warren and Ralph Warren; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Warren; one brother-in-law, James Jennings; many other relatives and friends including special friend, Michele Georgeann Davis and special grand-daughters, Era Elizabeth Smoot and Stephanie V. Young.
Era was preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Smoot, one sister, Marie Barefield, three brothers, Tommy, James and Luther Warren.
