Ennis S Jenkins

Mr. Ennis S. Jenkins passed away December 27, 2010 in Rowlett, Texas. Age 89 years. Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, Ennis was born June 18, 1921 in Montgomery, Alabama to Thomas J. and Havana Jenkins.
He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Ennis served in World War II and received an honorable discharge. He later graduated from barber school. He was employed at Grey Iron Foundry as a District Committee Man and was a member of Local 668, retiring in 1986. Ennis was an avid bowler having received many awards and trophies. He also enjoyed golfing, yard work. gardening and he loved dancing. He was chosen for the 2006 Veteran Award by the Men of Iota Auxiliary Psi Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Fraternity. As a regular attendee of the Marie Davis Center, Saginaw and Scenario Adult Center, Dallas. Pa (as he was known) loved and enjoyed people. He married Frances Jenkins, who preceded him in death in 1970 and later married Luebertha Jenkins who also preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Dorothy (Walter) Harris, Pat Hill, Judy (Arthur) Weathers, Oscar (Alice) Wilson, Harold Wilson, Stanley (Kathy) Wilson; 15 grandchildren, including a very special granddaughter, Rosemary (Harold)
Cannon and a special granddaughter, Kim Wright; 22 great grandchildren including a special great-grandson and pal, Demond Cannon; 10 great-great grandchildren; one niece, Laura Murdock; one cousin, Erskine Browning; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend, Roscoe Shelton.
He was preceded in death by spouse; Frances Jenkins, spouse, Luebertha Jenkins; children, Elva Edwards, Thomas Williams; grandson, Johnnie Edwards II; brother, Tom Jenkins.
