Eddie Blakes Jr.

Mr. Eddie James Blakes, Jr. passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center. Age 43 years. He was born March 30, 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan to Eddie Smith and Ellen L. Dexter.
Eddie was an honors graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1990. He received a certificate in the medical field from the Saginaw Career Opportunities Center. Eddie enjoyed sports and playing cards in his spare time. He was a wonderful person with a beautiful heart. Eddie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory five children, Deleance, TyKyra, Terrell, Tiondra and Jaden; one granddaughter, Samyia Blakes , all of Kalamazoo, Michigan; two sisters, Roshanda Blakes and Shantoria Smith; four step-sisters, Sheria "Peaches", Mary Jean, Carmella and Cherel; one step-brother, Shon; five aunts, Fay, Jackie, Deborah, Joslin and Debra; six uncles, Sam, Donald, Fredrick, Larry, Joe and Charles.
Eddie was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorthea Blakes and Vera Lockett; stepfather, Abraham Dexter; many other relatives and special friends including Desiree Primus, Henry and Demarco Templeton, Ben, Terrance, Delvon, Ronny, Jermaine, Norman, Nate, Carrol, Erica, Tom and Andre P.
The family extends special thanks to all of our relatives and Eddies friends at Pinewood Manor.
