Ms. Eastlyn V. Walker was born November 21, 1944 to Egbert and Florence Remy in New Grant Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. She fell into eternal sleep on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the age of 74 years.
Eastlyn had been residing in the United States for the past 40+ years. She was a retired certified nurses’ assistant. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, sewing, organizing her home, and rescuing dogs who needed love. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she held dear to her heart. Eastlyn had a no-nonsense, say it like it is approach to life, which all those around her came to respect. She will undoubtedly be missed and forever treasured.
Eastlyn was preceded in death by her parents, Egbert and Florence Remy; sister, Eileen; niece, Joe’l Munro.
She leaves endearing memories with her daughter, Daja (Alex) Walker; sisters, Irma Tuitt, Eulyn (Artis) Mathews, Marva (Norbert McBernie) Joseph, Yvonne (Lawrence) Scipio, Yvette (Scott) Thomas, Cheryl (Simon) Ramsubhag; brothers, Desmond Remy, Karl (Nicole Brown) Remy; twelve nieces, Alicia, Tonya, Jennifer, Jennell, Tommy, Tricia, Patrice, Rachelle, Lenore, Denise, Rasaan, Joanne; ten nephews, Brent, Darren, Kenyon, Stefan, Kyle, Kevin, Kerry, Kern, Will, Andre’; cousin, Jenise Burns, a host of great-nieces and nephews, including Jade, Steven, Brandy, Michael, Evan; many other relatives and friends, including special friends Ramona, Gloria, Pansy, Edith, Cindy, Isabelle and Tracy.
