DraVon Antonio Hooker passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center. Age 20 years. He was born July 20, 1993 in Saginaw, Michigan to Bobbie Meredith and Felicia Hooker.
DraVon was a member of Greater Williams Temple under the leadership of Bishop H.J. Williams where he was part of the video production ministry. He was a student at Saginaw High School and was very excited about completing his certificate training. DraVon was employed at Schnell Carwash. He recently received his chauffeur license, an accomplishment that he was very proud of. He enjoyed playing basketball, music and fixing everything under the sun. DraVon would often play X-box and PlayStation with his cousins. Whenever a new video game came out they would play for hours. He loved cracking jokes and spending time with family and friends. DraVon would often talk about how excited he was about being a new father to a baby boy due to arrive in December 2013. He was a fun loving person with a beautiful smile. That smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his parents, Felicia Hooker and Bobbie Meredith; grandparents, Mrs. Dorothy Hooker of Saginaw, Michigan, Earnest and Pearl Bishop of Arlington, Texas; seven sisters, Rachel Hooker, Bernice Hooker, Crystal Rivera, Christina Wicker, Angelia Willaby, Tequila Jones, Uniqua (Langston) Johnson; five brothers, Travian Nickleberry, Deandre Meredith, Robert Meredith, Kendell Meredith and Bobby Meredith; three aunts, Doris Wilson and Tawhona Hunt, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Eva Meredith of Arlington, Texas; two uncles, George Redeemer and James Meredith; one brother-in-law, Langston Johnson; special cousins, Paco Ducre, Marquze Luke, Leshone Bowie; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Savannah Adams and Devon Woodhouse.
DraVon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mr. Elmore Hooker, great-grandmother, Rosie Ducre, one brother, Bobby Bailey, one uncle, Robert Meredith Sr.
