Dorothy May Swan (Lansing)

Our loving wife and mother, Mrs. Dorothy May (Fears) Swan passed away on November 13, 2017 at Eaton County Health and Rehab Services at 91 years young. Dorothy was born May 9, 1926 in Charlotte, Michigan to Jesse Chapman Mason and Orrin Mason.

She resided in Dimondale, Michigan, where she was a member of Brookfield Methodist Church. Dorothy was an avid reader, doll collector, excellent cook and baker. She was especially known for her lemon pie.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Paul Swan of Dimondale, Michigan; two daughters, Sue Fears, Eaton Rapids, Michigan, Shirley (Alan) Headley, Eaton Rapids, Michigan; two sons, James Fears, Colorado, and Bill (Vickie) Fears of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her former husband, Bill Fears, parents, sisters, Edna Mason, Esther Koch and Marjorie Puffenberger, brothers, Russell Mason, James Mason, Court Mason and Leon Mason.

The family would like to express special thanks to the entire staff at Eaton County Health and Rehab Services (Pine Ridge Hall), especially Megan McDonough and everyone at Heartland Hospice.
