Dorothy Amos

February 15, 1955 — April 14, 2020

It’s our deepest regret to inform you our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Dorothy Delores Amos “Champ” went home to be with the Lord, son, mother, father and sister on April 14, 2020 in the loving arms and hands of loved ones. Dorothy was birthed to the parents of Ardell and Gladys Amos
on February 15, 1955 in Brook Haven, Mississippi.

She was a faithful member of New Life Changing Ministries under the leadership of Otis Dickens. She loved getting together to play cards, talk junk with her sisters in take all the money. She was a food critic and loved her sweets, enjoyed her kids and grandkids and singing. But meanwhile at the ranch
she aint sugar coat nothing.

She leaves to cherish a celebration of life with one son, Steven Amos; two daughter, April, Shamorrow Amos; son, Anthony Hunt, Deonte Bryant; grandchildren Deonta Pointdexter, Jayla, Steven Amos, Jason Vaughn, I’land Hunt, Kayla Claus, Zarkisa, Tadareus Adams; sisters, Johnnie, Wardell, Dyan, Sharlene and Mary Amos, Janice Lacey, Feddie Williams, Georgetta Woodhouse, Vicky Johnson; brothers, R.L. Barney, Ernest, Howard Johnson; nieces, Tanya, Tamika Amos, Laquita Cooper, Ramonda, Kenya Kindle, Daskyra Hood, Denise Lipsey, Lynette; nephews, Reginal, Kenneth, Dewayne, Daleone, James Amos, John Cooper, Ernest Moore, Darnell Prince, Kenneth Skinner; aunts, Catherine Stewart, Louie Bell, Linda Green, Marie and Marget Johnson; many other relatives and friend including a special friend Rena Artis, Nora Lewis and Hope.

Champ was proceded by death by her son, Steven Amos; parents, Ardell and Gladys Amos; sister, Barbara Amos; brother, Al Amos; grandparents, Henry and Bessie Johnson; nephews, Barnell Amos, Laquavis Cooper; niece, Caryn Skinner.
