On March 30, 2023, our lives were forever changed when we lost our beloved, Devon L. Williams "Chip,” at the age of 33 years. He was born August 17, 1989, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Shontele (Donald) Lockett and Jerry Boyd.
Devon was a fun, outgoing and loving person who valued his family and loved his children. He enjoyed brightening everyone’s day. Devon’s saying “Good Morning Beautiful” will forever be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Nyla and Key’Loni Williams; three sons, Terryond Drummer, Devon Jr., and Taiden Williams; his loving mother, Shontele (Donald) Lockett, whom he afffectionately called "Black Magic," his father, Jerry Boyd, and Joe Jackson, whom he referred to as "Pops;" grandmother, Eddie Landrum-Wright; seven sisters, Jotayvia Jackson, Danara, Diamond, and DyNesha Lockett, Destiny Rogala, Nakia Crawford, LaQuinda Clement; god-sister, Kedra Wilson; six brothers, Keontae, Jaquan, and Joseph Jackson IV, Damarius Whitson, Donald Lockett Jr., and Jerell Clement; godbrother, Frankie Skinner; aunts, Lashione Millege, Ennies Brown, Debra (Doc) Underwood; Mildred Southward-Gipson, Brenda Boyd-Johnson, Pamela (Mosby) Clark, Juanita Boyd, Mika Koper, Nikki Morris; and special aunts, Shontell "Red" Woodhouse, Shantay Triplett, Karen Sanders, DeAudra Donald, and Tanji Simpson; two special uncles, Glenn Gray, and Micheal Boyd; a host of cousins, including special cousins, Monique Mitchell, Taronda Southward, R’hseema Brown, Nellia "Tiffany" Brown, Derrick Jackson, Bobby Millege, Mahogany Brown, Tomea Brown, Tanesha Tayborn, Deshire Surles, Diamond Lawson, Kim Bryant and Erica Emerson; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Marilyn Favorite and family, Wayne Stephens, Marcel Beverly and Kason Weems.
Devon was preceded in death by his brothers, Jarail Jackson, and Jerry Wayne Hamilton; grandmother, Jeanette Boyd; great- grandparents, Walter and Bessie Brown, Alfred and Freddie Rose Bryant, and special God-given uncle, Freddie Lockhart.
