Desmond E. Bailey, Sr. (Lansing)

Mr. Desmond E. Bailey, Sr. passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 21 years. He was born February 6, 1999 in South Haven, Michigan, the son of Alfred G. Bailey, Jr. and Patricia M. Jones.

Desmond lived in Lansing, Michigan and attended Solid Rock Full Gospel Church with most of his family. He received his GED and worked at Auto Port. Desmond was a sportsman, football, basketball, and shopping were his hobbies. He was humble and kind. Desmond would give his last to help someone. He loved his family especially his girl cousins who he was always there to protect and support. Desmond always saw the good in people and he loved getting together with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Desmond Evontae Bailey, Jr.; 2 stepchildren, Alianna Baker and Brielle Baker; his parents, Alfred Gene Bailey, Jr. and Patricia M. Jones (Savonn Lilly, Sr.); grandparents, Estella and Keith Wraggs of Lansing, Joyce Ann Bailey of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Taccarra K. G. Bailey; brother, William O’Neal Davis, Jr.; step sister, Shyanna Lilly; step brother, Savonn Lilly, Jr.; niece, Ja’Vayah Bailey; 2 nephews, Ja’Carreyn Perry and Kahmarii Cyprian; 6 aunts, Tameka Jones, LaToya Monger, Peggy Khaton of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Belinda Khaton of Arizona; Regina Bailey and Renee Bailey both of Chicago, Illinois; 4 uncles, Lloyd L. Bailey, Dwayne C.
