Surrounded by family and friends, Mr. Dennis Grays was called home after a short battle with pneumonia on April 18, 2011. He was 51 years of age. He was born August 12, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan and was married to and loved Delphine (Traylor) Grays.
Dennis attended Saginaw Public Schools and proudly completed his general education development, in part, because he wanted everyone to know that he could and also so he could hang his portrait with his other siblings on his mothers living room wall. During his life he was employed as a mechanic. If Dennis could not fix-it, it could not be fixed.
He was blessed with two beautiful children during his first
marriage, Nevalynn Grays (granddaughter Namine Borom)
and Dennis Grays Jr. (deceased). He loved his children
unconditionally.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Maggie Erwin (James); siblings, Jacqueline Nash (Darren) of Olathe, KS;
Timmeth Grays, Billy Erwin, Stacy Erwin Oakes (Michael), Yvonne Flowers (Randle), James Erwin Jr., Belinda Erwin, Brenda Erwin, and Ricky Erwin all of Saginaw, MI;
L. Fallasha Erwin, Beactrice King of Detroit, MI; two aunts, Ida Mae Stuckey, Alean Junious; three uncles, Y.T .Grays (Barbra), O.D. Grays all of Saginaw, MI; McKinley Grays (Mary) of Detroit, MI; many other relatives and friends
including a special friend who was like a brother Eugene Reed, Henry Wells and stepdaughter, Mercede Plowden.
Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry D. Erwin; three uncles, Curlee Grays, Clarence Grays (Virginia), Claude Grays (Louise); grand parents, Dave and Corine Grays.
