Demont Lee

Mr. Demont Quantell Lee Sr. Peewee passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his residence. Age 39 years. He was born November 29, 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan to Adolph Patterson Jr. and Barbara Williams.
Demont was a devoted father, grandfather, son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He enjoyed taking part in family events which included holiday celebrations, birthdays and family soul food cooking.
Demont was educated in the Saginaw Public School District and graduated in 1990 from Saginaw High School where he was proud to be called a Trojan. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. During Demonts connection in the community sports affairs, he met and married TraVanda Thomas and from that union two sons were born. He was a supportive and dedicated father in the education process as his children grew and participated in positive activities. Demont worked very hard to ensure that many children and their families were given quality information to help strengthen their family unit. During Demonts community involvement activities as a basketball coach, he gave back to young people who desired and looked for an opportunity to play sports. The last team he was blessed to work with and serve as coach was the Saginaw Community Education Basketball Team at Willie E. Thompson Middle School from 2011 thru 2012. His presence will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Demont (TaLeshia) Lee Jr. and DeQuan Lee; one grandson, JoShawn Silas; one granddaughter, Carmen Ivey; mother, Barbara (Douglas M.) Williams; father, Adolph Patterson Jr.; grandmother, Kathleen Lee; one sister, Carmina Lee; one aunt, Martha Johnson, Las Vegas, Nevada; three uncles, John Lee III, Eddie (Karen) Polk and Donald Johnson Sr.; one niece, SyMarianna McAfee; eight cousins including his beloved cousin, Terrance Lee, Donald Johnson Jr., Durand Johnson, Dawn Davis, Damita Arnold, Johnathan, Demerus and John IV; one godson, DaTraivan Southward; one mentoree, Ricky Morgan; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Patricia Morgan.
Demont was preceded in death by his son, Kortnei Lee; one brother, Courtney Lee; one aunt, Kimberly Lee; grandparents, Adolph and Emma Patterson and John Lee Jr.; great-grandparents, Homer Kelley and Willie Mae Hegler; one great-aunt, Inez Davenport; one great-uncle, Clarence Kelley.
