Deborah Shue (Lansing)

Deborah Elaine Shue, age 63, departed her earthly life on December 26, 2021, in Lansing, Michigan surrounded by her family. Deborah was born in Eagle Rock, Virginia, then adopted and raised by her loving parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Sarbaugh. Deborah moved to Michigan at a young age and decided to call Lansing her home. Deborah graduated from Lansing Community College with her GED in 1981.

Deborah was a fierce woman who fought a good fight all the way to the end. Deborah was a three time cancer survivor. Deborah loved puzzles, yard sales, going to Krogers and Walmart, camping at Silver Lake Yogi Bear Campground, and bowling. Deborah had a great love for helping the community with her big heart. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Deborah was a Mother and Nana to many. She was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

Deborah leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Lamechiko Edwards, Kimberly Tasha (Patrick) Gentry and Mercedes Whites of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Zeynoire Anderson, Casey Pierce, Frank Parks, Jaqwavion and Quavon Edwards, Atayla Ray and Patrick (PJ) Gentry, Jr. all of Lansing, Michigan; siblings, Marjorie (Lyke) Sarbaugh-Thompson, and Steve Sarbaugh of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and many devoted friends, neighbors, and loved ones, including special friend, Rosie Allen.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Sarbaugh; and grandson Neki Anderson.
