David Vega

June 8, 1953 — July 9, 2012

David Vega passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Manhattan, New, York. Age 59 years. He was born June 8, 1953 in Bronx, New York to David Vega and Julia Vega.
David was a very devoted person, this was apparent in the way he cared for his mother. He later relocated to San Antonio, Texas. He loved the sunshine, enjoyed long walks and was always in search of an adventure. Love and kindness would push David to open his arms to anyone in need. He was very devoted to the Bible from which he gained spiritual knowledge and wisdom. David was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He had a passion for music, loved playing the guitar and the piano. David was forever singing and worshiping the Lord. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy. He will forever be in our hearts and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Alicia Vega; five daughters, Ruby Vega, Julia Vega, Alicia Buriel, Sandra Davis, Crystal Barrera; two sons, David Vega, Carlos Vega; twenty-five grandchildren; his mother, Julia Vega; grandfather, Mario Vega; one sister, Marien Cintron; two brothers, David Jose Vega, Isreal Vega; one niece, Vivian Cintron; one nephew, Jose Cintron; two uncles, Carlos Vega, Efrien Vega; many other relatives and friends including special friends, David Rosa, Zina Watkins and Jackie Mccue.
David was preceded in death by his father, David Garcia Vega.
