David Hernandez

Mr. David Hernandez was born June 17, 1955 in Saginaw, Michigan to Mariano and Delores (Cerda) Hernandez. He passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Age 63 years.

David was employed with the Dow Event Center for over thirty years. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoe. He was a family man and delighted in the company of his nieces and nephews.

David was a joy to be around. He was fun, kind, giving and loving. His sweet spirit and warm smile are forever etched in our hearts and memory.

David was predeceased by his parents, Mariano and Delores Hernandez; brothers, Jesus, Alberto, Mario Hernandez; sister, Josie Gawthrop.

David leaves precious memories with his wife, Toribia T. Mora; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Corrion; three sisters, Gloria Martinez, Lucy (Larry) Pomeroy, Mary Lou (Andre) Prather; brothers, William (Elida), Daniel (Marilyn), Rick, James, Henry (Lois) Hernandez; former sisters-in-law, Betty Hernandez, Marie Sharpe, Rita Ramirez; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Henry Ford Hospital, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
