Daryl D Oliver, Sr. (Lansing)

Mr. Daryl D. Oliver, Sr. "Disco" passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 15, 2021. He was born December 13, 1973, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Nehemiah (Jake) Powell and Barbara (BJ) Oliver.

Daryl, Sr., was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great uncle. He was one from the old school, he was someone who didn't have a problem with anyone.

He was a loving and caring man. He never met a stranger; everyone was his friend no matter when he met them. Those that he loved dearly, he would greet them with a hug and a big wet kiss always reminding them that “He Loved Them.”

Daryl received his GED and would later receive his CNA Certificate from Dorsey Medical Educational Center in Lansing, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nehemiah (Jake) Powell.

Daryl leaves to cherish his memory his mother Barbara (BJ) Oliver; sons, Daryl Oliver, Jr., and Darrion Oliver; sisters, TaMisha (JC) Belk, Sonya (Roderick) Cook, and Sabrina Powell; brother, Anthony Powell; and 1 great nephew, Legend Lyn all of Lansing, Michigan; and many nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including special friends, Terina McNamara and Kristy Rappe.

The family has arranged visitation hours of 3 pm-7 pm, Friday, November 5, 2021, at Paradise Funeral Chapel and Arrangement Services located at 1107 East Miller Road, Lansing, Michigan 48911. A memorial service will be held at The Bread House International Ministries located at, 1518 S. Washington Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48910, with family hour at 10 am and the memorial service to follow at 11 am. Arrangements by Paradise Funeral Chapel 1107 East Miller Road, Lansing, Michigan.
