Cleveland Woodson went into the light on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the age of 77 years. He was born to James Woodson and Mamie Tillmon Meeks on May 3, 1943 in Osceola, Arkansas.

Cleveland, known as “Cleve”, retired from General Motors Chevrolet Grey Iron after 35 years. He loved cars and motorcycles. Cleve was a member of the Soul Survivors Motorcycle Club. He was a loving father and family man that will truly be missed.

Cleveland was preceded in death by two sons, Cleveland Jr. and Brian K. Woodson; one daughter, Brenda L. Woodson; parents, James Woodson and Mamie Tillmon Meeks; two brothers, Homer Jr. and Dennis Meeks; two sisters, Carolyn Woodson and Gloria Meeks Hooks; brother-in-law, Henry Hooks.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Virgil Woodson; three sons, Demetrius Woodson, Reginald Price and Donnell Williams; one daughter, Manakia Eiland; nineteen grandchildren, India, Dominick, Brandon, Brian, Destiny, Desmond, Demarcus, Cressia, Demetrius Jr. and Daron Woodson, Qwamae and Lanae Grady, Jessica, Whitney and LaCresha Jarrard, all of Indianapolis, Indiana, MaKayla and Mekhi Williams, Louisville, Mississippi; eleven great-grandchildren all of Indianapolis, Indiana; five sisters, Shirley Woodson, Cleveland, Ohio, Bernice Christian, Osceola, Arkansas, Ruby Marshall, Saginaw, Michigan, Mary Louise (Allen) Williams, Carolyn Meeks, both of Claremore, Oklahoma; three brothers, Jerome Woodson, Saginaw, Michigan, Forest Meeks, Claremore, Oklahoma, and Artis T. Middleton; close friend, Troy Jumper; many nieces, nephews and friends that loved him dearly

The family would like to express special thanks to Covenant Visiting Nurses and Aides, Dr. Bartnik, Dr. Shirley Raveendran, Dr. Zaki and Dr. Bulusu, Pastor Paul E. Broaddus, Dan Burns, Gwen Conway, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
