Mr. Clayton L. Jones was born May 1, 1950 in Greenville, Mississippi to David L. and Annie (Thomas) Jones. He fell asleep on December 31, 2019.
Clayton was a graduate of Greenville High School. He later moved to Saginaw, Michigan and resided here the duration of his life. He worked for many years before his retirement. He was such a hard worker that he started working again after retirement at Stop & Shop.
Clayton was a quiet and simple man. He loved his family and they loved him in return. His presence will truly be missed.
Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, David and Annie Jones; four brothers, David L. Jr., Phillip, Randolph and Malcolm Jones; grandparents, Laura and Norman Vaughn; sister-in-law, Gloria Smith.
He leaves precious memories with his sisters, Deloris Johnson, Georgia Marie Brewer, Patricia A. Wise, Debra Ball; fifteen nieces; eight nephews; one aunt; one uncle; six cousins; sisters-in-law, Gail, Kimberly and Pamela Jones; many other relatives and friends, including special friends Mr. Sonny, Mr. Happy, Earl jones, Jack, Janice Black and Kim.
The family would like to express special thanks to Saginaw City Police Department, Janes Street Clinic, the owners of Stop & Shop, Pastor Willie Hill, Jr. and Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, First Missionary Baptist Church in Arkansas, Building Blocks Childcare, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
