Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Clarence Hatchett passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at Brian's House-Bay City. Age 65 years. He was born April 10, 1946 in Thompson, Alabama to Columbus and Annie Bell (Marlow) Hatchett. Mr. Hatchett accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church faithfully until his health failed him. He attended schools in Union Springs, Alabama. He retired from General Motors Malleable Iron Foundry after 40 years of service and was a member of UAW Local # 455. He had a passion for hunting, cooking and enjoyed watching sports.He was a great father to his children. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 28 years, Mary; four sons, Clarence Jr. (Machaiah) Hatchett, Christopher Hatchett, Correan Hatchett, John Davis, Union Springs, Alabama; six daughters, Crussandra (Victor) Ivy, Camilia Townsend both of Saginaw, Michigan, Paradyse Hatchett, Jackson, Mississippi, Officer Laura (Christopher) Carr, Auburn Hill, Michigan, Ruby (Derrick) Carter, Troy, Alabama, Swana Feagin, Saginaw, Michigan; fifteen grandchildren, Mya Mims, Jayla Quincy, Joey Quincy, Clarence Hatchett III, Laurynn Carr, Phenasia Davis, Alexis Carter, Jasmin Carter, Kermesha Cunningham, John Jenkins, Jermeny Hatchett, Dominique Cope, DeQuavis Mitchell, Daniel Abraham Jr., Cottreal Cornclius Jr.; one great-grandson, Tyquarius Cunningham; three sisters, Mary McCall, Johnnie Mae Baskin both of Saginaw, Michigan, Lorea Hatchett; one brother, John Henry (Gloria) Hatchett, Haines City, Florida; a very dear mother-in-law, Mary Mims, Saginaw, Michigan; six sisters-in-law, Yolanthe (Bruce) Brown, Acworth, Georgia, Yolanda (Martel) Harris, Tina (Gary) Taylor, Tyrhonda Mims all of Saginaw, Michigan, Jeff Anna Hatchett, Dora Hatchett, Cleveland, Ohio; six brothers-in-law, Willis, Tyrone and Brandon Mims,Freddie Holmes, including a special brother-in-law, Floyd Mims Jr.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a special nieces, Mary Ann Allen, Belinda McCall, special nephew, Timothy Baskin; also special friends, Wendell Ferrell, Earl Canavis, Sam Carr, Bob Myer, Vandal Washington, Roger Smith, Peso, Bernice Harris, Oscar McDole, Cora Morris, Cassandra Goff, Will Powell, Fred (Annie) Ivey, Richard Johnson, Nate Woods, Herbert Flonoy and many more. He was preceded in death by a very special daughter, Charisse Hatchett, parents, Annie Bell Collins and Columbus Hatchett, sisters, Annie Allen, Carrie Holmes, Bertha Harris, Jessie Hatchett, brothers, Calvin, Doris and Clifford Hatchett,sister-in-law, Debra Mims, niece, Annette Hatchett, nephews, Terry Baskin, Anthony Barker, brother-in-law, Zebedee McCall, friend, Roosevelt Liddell, father-in-law, Floyd B. Mims. The family would like to express a special thanks to Pastor Murray Culberson, Pastor Otis Washington, Pastor Brown, the staff at NSCA & AHHS School and to many more to mention from Mrs. Mary Hatchett and family would like to thank you dearly. "Hatchett' is what he was called by many.
