Ciara Norris (Lansing)

March 28, 1986 — July 14, 2019

Ciara Marie -Latet Norris was born March 28, 1986 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Roger Browley and Valareese Woods. Ciara was later adopted by Janet Norris. Ciara accepted Christ at a very young age at Paradise Missionary Baptist Church where she was involved in the Youth Choir.

Ciara was very athletic and loved to play basketball. One of her proudest moments was when the Everett Basketball Team won the State Championship in 2004. Ciara was a fighter; she fought the battle of Diabetes since the age of 7 and was determine to live her absolute best life. Ciara loved spending time with her family and friends and was always ready to go out to eat at a moment’s notice.

Ciara was a graduate from Everett High School and attended Wayne State University for two years until she became ill. Ciara was a loyal and dedicated employee at Meijer’s as a Hostess until her death. Prior to working at Meijer’s, she worked at Sadako Factory for several years.

Ciara is survived by her mother, Janet Norris; Seven siblings: Brothers: Jimmy Deshazer, Tony (Chelsey) Norris, Ricky Norris and Nathan Browley; Sisters: Brooke Browley, Gina Browley, Tynesha (Darius) Turner. Nephews: Cyrus, Layland, Tyson, Ayson, Alejend; Nieces: Hayden, Kyrin, Layla, Penelope, Fallon and a host of aunts, uncles and many cousins. Godparents: Larry and Theresa Jones. Goddaughter: Markeia Patterson; Close Friends: Deanna, Latara and Takeia. A special Thanks to her Healthcare Assistant, Carolyn McCloud.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Browley and her mother, Valareese Woods; Brother, Akeem Hughes; Grandparents, Cynthia Woods, Ivan Horton, Sr. and AJ Norris.
