Mr. Charlie (Lil Juns) Tolden, Jr. of Saginaw, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper. Age 49 years. Charlie was born June 18, 1960 in Saginaw, son of Charlie and Effie Tolden. They survive him. He was a graduate of Saint Louis High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy assigned to the USS Whipple (FF-1062) at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as a Class A Boiler Technician. He enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Tolden was a very compassionate man to all who encountered him. His greatest joy was working with his father and caring for his disabled mother. Charlie could repair, tear down or rebuild your television, VCR and weed wacker.
His memory will be cherished by one daughter, Charmaine Thomas and her mother, Brenda Thomas both of Saginaw, MI; three sisters: Jannie (Clarence Toliver) Tolden of Saginaw, MI, Linda (Justin) Robinson of Hampton, GA and Teresa (Julius) Williams of Inkster, MI; three nieces: Omarisha Tolden, Kelly Spiller and Dyamond Rowe all of Saginaw, MI; two nephews: Alfonzo McAfee, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL and Omarion Rowe of Saginaw, MI; one uncle, Melvin (Phyllis) Trammell of Saginaw, MI; two aunts: Joann Green of Jackson, MS and Estella Bibbs of Saginaw, MI; a very dear friend, George Evans of Saginaw, MI and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Tolden was predeceased by one sister, Mary Tolden of Atlanta, GA. The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice Partners in Caring.
