Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Mr. Charles D. Robinson passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 61 years. He was born May 15, 1952 in Euphoria, Mississippi to Charles and Barbara Robinson.
Charles was a graduate of Ruben Daniels Lifelong Learning Center. He also attended Delta College. Charles held various jobs having been employed at General Motors, UHaul, Saginaw Board of Education, Holy Cross Childrens Services and Lagalos. He enjoyed painting in his spare time. Charles loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his second great-grand-daughter who is due to arrive in May 2014. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his loving wife, Cecil Robinson; one daughter, Callandra (Jerry) Lee; one son, Quincy (Ta-Tasha) Thomas; his grandchildren, Stephanie Woodford, DeOnquavies Lee, ShaTera McTillman, Tatiyana Jackson and DeOntae Lee; one great-grandchild, DaMyiah Forster; two sisters, Marie D. Robinson and Gwendolyn M. Pryor; a special sister, Judy Pringle; two brothers, David W. and Michael Robinson; ten nieces, LeKeyta Robinson, Mariah Benett, Taushay Banks, DeAndrea, Mia, Kalandice and Michaela Thomas, Shawnta Robinson, Alexis and Loren Pryor; five nephews, DeAndre Robinson, Andre Brown Thomas, DayQuan Robinson, Anthony and Tory Thomas; five aunts, Clara Robinson, Mary Bell, Donna Sue (James) Sanders, Lucille Henry and Hazel Hill; three uncles, Felix, Mancil and Marcel Johnson; several cousins; mother-in-law, Clara Thomas; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Threadgill and Shirlene Rozier; two brothers-in-law, Dwight and Arthur Thomas; many other relatives and friends including special friends Ed Agee Slim, Reggie Franklin, William Page Bro and Gregory Spain Tip.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Charles E. Robinson and one son, Charles T. Robinson JuJu, one aunt, Ole Mae, two uncles, Bennie Johnson Carl and Thomas Robinson Uncle Bud.
The family would like to express special thanks to his wonderful caregivers, Shatera McTillman and Callandra Lee, his grandchildren, son-in-law, Jerry Lee, Dr. Eugene Seals and staff.
