Ms. Cassandra Joyce Wilson, “Sandra”, was born January 2, 1954 in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of Dorothy and Sonnie Wilson. On February 21, 2020, God called His angel home.

Sandra, at the age of twelve, along with her family, moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1966. She attended Saginaw High School and graduated with the “Class of 1972.” Sandra went to work for General Motors after graduation.

Sandra loved playing cards, dancing, drawing, watching movies and most of all she loved singing. She loved singing so much that in 1973 she joined a singing group called Soul Devotion with Annette, Linda, Metiva, Letha and Gwen Goodman. Sandra was a loving mother, one that would do what she could for her children and others.

Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Wilson; parents, Sonnie and Dorothy Wilson; sister, Belinda Wilson; aunt, Barbara Myles.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Akenya Wilson, Saginaw, Michigan; three sons, Curtis (Jasmene) Wilson, Julien Wilson, Jamison Wilson, all of Saginaw, Michigan; twenty-seven grandchildren, Jalyne, Mia, Kerterria, Curtis Jr., Kashayla, Kenyon, Zariyah, Zailah, Jue’Sharionna, Amaria, Julien Jr., Juelz, Karmen, Melakhi, Ju’Brayla, Julia, Jyri, Julius, Ju’Nya Travayla, Jakayla, Isaac, Janyla, Ja’Bill, Malachi, Airis, Jama’Jai, all of Saginaw, Michigan; eight sisters, Yolanda (Edward) Collins, Dawn (Robert) Davis, Tiffany Manuel, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Tammie Manuel, Canton Ohio, Gwendolyn Stafford, Annette Clay, Sharon Wilson, Karen Williams, all of Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers, Gregory (Victoria) Holmes, Saginaw, Michigan, Kenny and Jackie Wilson, both of Atlanta, Georgia; very special brother-law, Elder Corey L. Broxton Sr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including three special friends, Albert Freeman and Mr. & Mrs. Ronald & Jean Schwartz.
