Carolyn Harris (Aubrey, Tx)

Mrs. Carolyn Harris Starks, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at her residence in Aubrey, Texas. Age 66 years. She was born May 28, 1953 in Lansing, Michigan; the daughter of Murvin Harris and Elsie Bryant Harris.

Carolyn grew up in the Lansing area and after graduating high school went on to attend Western Michigan University where she majored in Psychology and Modern Dance. She had a lifelong love for writing and had several published works of poetry. Always stylish, and ahead to the current trends on the runway, Carolyn was known for her love of fashion and design. She enjoyed clothing and often stood out with her Hollywood glamour. During her youth, Carolyn met her husband, Calvin Starks. They shared over 40 years together and 4 children. Carolyn loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Vashon Harris, CoBrandy (Arvin )Woods, Nadia Harris and Calvin Harris; twelve grandchildren, Shaquille Scott, Martrell Harris, Shanal Turner, Shan Harris, Jordan Harris, Aniah Harris, Brooklyn Harris, Calvin Harris,Carter Harris, Parker Woods, Landon Harris, Ellianna Harris; four great grandchildren, Shaquille Scott, Jr., Sarah Scott, EBelle Harris and Amina Harris; Siblings, Christine Harris and Maurice Harris; nieces, Courtney Harris, Nicole Wilson, Nichelle Starks, Nicole Harris, Chandra Drayten, Brittney Harris; nephews, Corey Nicholson, Maurice Nicholson, Christopher Jackson, Marcus Hersay, Sean Johnson, and Justin Robinson; sister-in -law, Evelyn Robinson; many other relatives and friends including special friend, Janet Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Starks; parents, Murvin Harris and Elsie Bryant Harris; 6 of 9 siblings; sisters, Wanda Harris and Lori Harris; brothers, Carl Harris (her twin), Murvin Harris, Jr., Clifton Harris and William Harris.
