Carla Suzette Pruitt made her untimely transition to be with the Lord on Friday, July 8, 2016 at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 59 years. She was born May 28, 1957 to John Pruitt and Ozzie Lee in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Carla attended Lansing Everett High School and furthered her education at Davenport University of Lansing, Michigan. She served with the State of Michigan for many years as well as volunteered through many organizations. Her hobbies included writing short stories; she was currently working on her third book. Carla also enjoyed arts and crafts.
She leaves to forever cherish her loving memories three sons, Tyree Pruitt, Terry (Lisa) Pruitt and Tywon Pruitt, Lansing, Michigan; five grandchildren, Tyree and Tazjah Pruitt, Jacub (Megan) Shaw, Veronica (John) Brown and Myles Johnson, Lansing, Michigan; brother, Wain (Teresa) Pruitt of California; stepmother, Eura Lee Pruitt; stepsister, Barbara (Rev. Albert) Kelley; stepbrother, Carl (Pat) Johnson; Aunt, Mandolyn Buchanan, Rockford, Michigan, special and close to her heart cousin, Wanda Trotter; loving relatives and friends including close friend of many years and father of her children, Mark Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Pruitt and Ozzie Lee; sister, Rene Pruitt.
