Candace Sharday Williams

October 31, 1988 — September 1, 2017

Candace Sharday Williams passed peacefully on September 1, 2017 at Toni & Trish House Hospice in Auburn, Michigan. Age 28 years. She was born October 31, 1988 in Flint, Michigan to Ernest and Diana Williams.

Candace was a 2006 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. She was a member of Daniel’s Den Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Taurus Simpson. Candace was a nursing assistant, former employee of Heartland, Brittany Manor, Luther Manor, Nexteer for five years, and also Semi-Conductor. She was an outgoing, fun loving person with a “Diva” attitude and spirit. Her great sense of humor, nurturing and kindness to her friends and family, and excellency in providing for her children could not be matched. Candace always had a smile on her beautiful face. She enjoyed concerts, plays, movies, talking on her phone, shopping, and eating out, especially at TGI Fridays and Applebee’s with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish memories her loving mother, Diana Rockett (Archie Lawrence) of Saginaw, Michigan; father, Ernest J. (Patty) Williams, Flint, Michigan; one daughter, MiAngel Williams; three sons, Jordan Williams, Christian Packard, and Marcus Jernigan, Jr., all of Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Quincy Thompson, Saginaw, Michigan, Ernest “E.J.” Williams, Jr., Flint, Michigan; two sisters, Umika (Michael) Harvey, Adrian, Michigan and Rachida Tucker, Las Vegas, Nevada; grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Williams; niece, Leeyah Williams; three nephews, Ernest Williams, III., Justin Williams, and Carter Harvey; a host of aunts, including Shirley (A.V.) Booker, Suette (Willis) Humphrey, Linda Shields, Jerry Moore, Geraldine Robinson, Kerry, and Rose. Louise (Sam) Bell, Sally (Elroy) Johnson, Daisy Williams, Sue (Jesse) Brooks, Maria (Garfield) Brooks, Marie Williams, Dorothy Wilson, and Bobbie Ann Williams; eight uncles, Louis Rockett, Glenn Moore, Darrell Rockett, Lee Porter Rockett, Darnell Holmes, Curtis (Johnnie) Williams, T.L. Williams, and Charlie Williams; a host of loving cousins, including special cousins, Dominique, Samantha, Sesanie, Joslynn, Precious, Monaye, Myra, and LaShunda Chapman; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Chanda Wilson, Whisper Belvin, Markisha Fuse, Cierra Morris, LaShanda, Donya, Jessica, and her childhood friend, “Lee Lee”.

Candace was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mandy Lee Williams; two grandfathers, Robert Williams and Louis Rockett, Sr.; great-grandmother, Beatrice Robinson; two uncles, Robert Williams and Jimmy Williams; and aunt, Lizzie Williams.

The family would like to express special thanks to James Fugazz in Radiation & Oncology; Tiffany Leiter, Visiting Nurse Association, Dr. Binu Malhotra, Dr. Sulton, Mackinaw Cancer Center, the staff of Covenant Healthcare ICU, 6th Floor, the entire 7th Floor and special, special thanks to the Toni & Trish House (Hospice) who helped Candace into Heaven with dignity and peace, and thanks to Rev. Alfred Harris, Sr., and his wife, Denise, of Saints of God, and Rev. Alfred Harris, Jr. of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and Archie Lawrence for driving her to each of her doctor’s appointments and to her chemo and radiation. May God bless you all.
