Billy Hines

Mr. Billy Wayne Hines Pops passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his residence. Age 65 years. He was born July 30, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan to Ralph and Mavis Hines.
Billy graduated from Feitchens High School in Springfield, Illinois and was also a graduate of a beauty academy in Oakland, California. As a hair stylist he became an award winning platform artist whose specialty was coloring. Billy hones his skills at Unique Cuts Barber Shop. He was proud to proclaim Brandy as his daughter. Billy was a member of Daniels Den Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Taurus Simpson. He was a loving and unique character who loved being with people. Billy loved to dress nicely and in the latest fashions. He would call his loved ones out if they didnt dress well. He will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Brandy (John) Jackson of Saginaw, Michigan; three sons, Shawn Hines of Oakland, California, Christopher Hines of Springfield, Illinois and Brandon Hines of Saginaw, Michigan; one stepchild, Dominique Griffin of Saginaw, Michigan; two grandchildren, PerriA and Jawon Jackson; stepmother, Oretha Hines of Springfield, Illinois; four sisters, Mary L. (Georgia) Nettles, Michelle Watson, Danielle Johnson and Sarah McGee; one brother, Arthur Payton; several nieces, nephews and cousins including his favorite niece, Dee Dee; three aunts, Margie Barnes, Dorothy Braxton, Ineta Lewis; three brothers-in-law, Eddie B. Nettles, Larry Watson and Rico Johnson; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, Cynthia Little, Refus Johnson, Wendy Kelley, Dennis Porter and the South Side family.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hines, mother, Mavis McQueen, son, Demetrius Hines and brother, Stanley Hines.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Margie Barnes of Hercules, California, Oretha Hines of Springfield, Illinois and Eugene Johnson of Saginaw.
