Loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Mrs. Beverly “Annette” McCrary, gained her wings at the age of 79 years on July 17, 2022. She was born October 26, 1942, in Derma, Mississippi to Ceasar and Elnora Powell.

Annette relocated to Michigan at an early age and married Charles E. McCrary. She attended Jacob’s Ladder Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mother’s Board. Annette was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing bingo, traveling, and spending time with loved ones and friends. She always had an open home and an open heart. Annette touched the lives of many and will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters, Renee McCrary, Ebony (Phil) Hoffman; one son, Charles (Diann) McCrary II; four grandchildren, Jasmine McCrary, Makayla Hoffman, DeAndre McCrary and Isaiah Hoffman; five great-grandchildren, Zariya McCrary, Laila Griffin, DeAndre McCrary Jr, De’Corion McCrary and Julius McCrary; one sister, Dorothy Boyland; one brother, Ceasar Powell; a host of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Willie and Cora Thompson.

Annette was preceded in death: by her husband, Charles McCrary; parents, Ceasar and Elnora Powell; two sisters, Helen Brownlee, Beatrice Suggs; four brothers, Willie B., Otis, Jasper, and Preston Powell; longtime special friend, Fred D. Martin; and special sister, Margaret King.
