Mr. Bennie Haynes Poboy went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the age of 64 years. He was born May 14, 1951 in Shaw, Mississippi to Lucille (Perry) and Cornelius Haynes Sr.
Bennie retired after 10 years of service from General Motors Grey Iron Foundry and was a member of UAW Local 668. He was a member of Victorious Believers Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Christopher Pryor. Bennie loved rummage sales and all types of music. His favorite artist was Kem. Bennie loved his family and friends. He enjoyed talking to them daily on the phone. Bennie was truly a blessing to everyone he met and his presence will be missed.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy one son, Montravius Lamont Haynes of Saginaw, Michigan; one grand-daughter, Monyea Haynes; two stepchildren, Ellis and Christell Lee; one sister, Georgia (Robert) Robinson of Defiance, Ohio; seven brothers, David (Clydia) Perry, John, Roosevelt, Thomas, Eugene and Roy Haynes, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Leroy (Cherokee) Haynes of Huntsville, Alabama; two stepsisters, Rosetta (Todd) Smith of Belleville, Michigan and Vonnie Williams of Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, Carl Ruth, George Graham, Leonard Henderson, Isaiah Gibbs, Bridgette Beasley and Timothy Burch.
Bennie was preceded in death by his daughter, Latoya Haynes, parents, Cornelius and Lucille Haynes, two sisters, Lella Haynes and Minnie Lee Haynes, one brother, Cornelius Haynes Jr.
