Augustine Gartley

Augustine Gartley passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Marys of Michigan. Age 69 years. Augustine was born
December 18, 1941 in Cleveland, Mississippi to George and Adaline Dodds.
Augustine was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in
Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from West Cott High School in Chicago, Illinois. Augustine retired from Means Stamping. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, ironing and shopping. Her character displayed pure creativity.
She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Harvey Gartley Sr.; two daughters, Debra Gartley and Kimberly Gartley; one son, Harvey Gartley Jr.; ten grandchildren, Harvey Johnson, Shakida Gartley, Tamina Gartley, TyQuisha Thomas, Toynesha Gartley, Antoine Jakes Jr., Sharina Gartley, Jada Gartley all of Saginaw, Michigan, Aisha Thomas and Mirakle Johnson of Layfette, Indiana; two sisters, Yvonne ONeal and Jonnie Mae Hooks of Arkansas; two brothers, Allen Dodds of Cleveland, Mississippi, and Eddie (Anita) Dodds of Branton, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; six sisters-in-law, Frankie Lee Gartley and Rita Gartley of Chicago, Illinois, Eddie Mildred Leflore, Bobby Jean Leflore, Charlene Tucker, Betty Ann Leflore all of Jackson, Mississippi; many other relatives and friends
including special friends, nephew, Semmie Stuckey Jr.; niece, Dorthey Stuckey of Marion, Indiana; Ester Perez, Willie J. Thomas, Ernestine Ruffin, Maritha Tellis; a special thanks to the Lockett family, Deirora Walker (Dee Dee), and Deborah Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Adaline Dodds; daughter, Anita Gartley; four sisters, Ernestine Dodds (twin), Helen Stuckey, Eve Carter, Earleen Johnson; and two brothers, Dodds and Walter Dodds.
