Arthur Newcombe, Sr. (Lansing)

Arthur Artavious Lamon Newcombe, Sr. (aka Lil Cookie and the Cook Book) gained his wings on February 14, 2022, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 43 years. He was born October 20, 1978, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents, Arthur and Linda Smith. Arthur was the middle of three children.

He confessed his life to Christ at a young age. Arthur was baptized at Apostolic Tower of Power Temple under the leadership of Bishop Nathaniel Edward, Sr.

As a child Arthur attended various schools in Illinois and Michigan, later he obtained his GED. He enjoyed cooking, bowling, and creating art and music. Arthur spent most of his time with family and friends.

Arthur worked in various industries such culinary arts, automotive, and relocation services. His favorite occupation was as a barber.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory three daughters, Katelyn, Tyliah, and Ce’Miya; six sons, Mikell, Tyreese, Arthur, Jr., Itavion, Trice, and Artiste; his parents. Arthur and Linda Smith; grandparents, Mary H. Smith of Lansing, Michigan and Charles Newcombe of Chicago, Illinois; sister, La’Neka; brother Daniel; three granddaughters; one grandson; seven nieces; two nephews; 12 aunts; 8 uncles; and

Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Tyrell Pettway.
