Annie Blackmon

March 21, 1935 — December 31, 2016

Annie Pearl Blackmon transitioned from this life on Saturday, December 31, 2016 to be with the Lord. Age 80 years. She was born March 21, 1936 to loving parents, Joe and Georgia Snead who raised her in Midnight, Mississippi.
Annie received her high school education in Mississippi and then moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan, serving and loving on family and friends. She loved to travel. Although Annie spent a few years in South Doss Palace, California, she headed north to Saginaw, Michigan. There, she served as a member of All Nations Prayer Tower COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Moore. She then made her final move back to California where she worked, labored, and loved giving of herself to others as a resident for more than 40 years. Annie served under the leadership of Pastor Howard at Revelation Church in Los Angeles, California. Annie later became a faithful member of Holy Apostolic Pentecostal Church of God under the leadership of the late Bishop Randle. She was one of the church mothers, an active Missionary counselor, and part of the Helps Ministry. She was a servant and loved to serve as a caretaker. This was her profession and she was great at it. And Annie was a great cook and knew her way around the kitchen, too. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.
She leaves to cherish loving memories her children, Terry Snead, Annie Snead, Shanda Smith, and Oneta Snead; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mattie Hinley, Georgia (Charlie) Turner, and Naomi (Thomas) McCloud; two brothers, David (Bertha) Snead and James (Charlene) Snead; and many other relatives including 3 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; and many friends.
