Annie Allen (Lansing)

Ms. Annie Allen passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 71 years. The first born of Allie Mae Allen, she was born in Ruleville, Mississippi on December 12, 1947.

As a young woman, Ann would leave the deep south heading to Lansing, Michigan where she would establish a community with her close relatives, her siblings and her young family. Ann was a kind woman that always wished the best for everyone. She loved her family and they loved her. Ann always had to make time for a good TV show. She didn’t want or need many things but she gave so much to us all. We as a family are better positioned in life because of the sacrifices she made for us. She will be dearly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jerry; granddaughters, Sarah and Lane; sisters, Minnie, Rose, Mary (Joe) and Victoria; brothers, David, Robert and Christopher; nieces, Polly, Jackie, LaKeya, Domonique and Porsha; nephews, Homer, Jr., Fred, Mike, Tamper, Eric, Kareem, Tray, Tyler, Travis and Tony; many great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by mother; sons, Melvin and Tyrone; and brother, Henry, Sr.
