Anna Yarger

August 2, 1941 — July 12, 2021

Anna Louise Yarger, was born on August 2, 1941, in Iuka, Mississippi to the union of Alexander and Erma Coman. She entered into eternal peace on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the age of 79 years,

Anna was best known as Louise. She relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where she grew up and attended Sacred Heart and Madonna Schools. She later married Richard Yarger, Sr. and three children were born to this untion. Later, she attended a trade school in Detroit and received her Electrician License. She worked at Women’s Hospital, better known as Herman Kiefer, as a Ward Clerk for many years. She also worked for the United States Post Office as a Postal Carrier. She then worked as a Licensed Electrician for Maintenance Central for Seniors of Detroit, from where she retired.

Mom had a love for books. She was an avid book reader and could read a book in a day. Her favorite authors were Stephen King and Dean Koontz. She also loved to watch NCIS, Criminal Minds, Law & Order, and the Young & The Restless, faithfully. She loved to listen to jazz, blues and R & B. One of her favorite pastimes was to “go and sit down by the water.”

Mom was a very loving, kind, laid back, relaxed-about-life type of person. But she could also be very sarcastic; but sarcastic in a way that if you loved her, you understood that it was, in her words, “ALL LOVE.” Anyone who knew her loved her. She was called “moms”, “grams”, “Lou”, and “Sis” by many.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Erma Coman; three brothers, Bennie Coman, Sr., Ricky Ayers and Allen Coman; one sister, Theresa Allman; one niece, Stacy Atkins; one grandson, Antonio Yarger.
