Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion and friend, Mr. Allen Gregory Jones, passed away Thursday July 2, 2020 at his residence at 55 years of age. He was born August 13, 1964 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Allen Clay and Jennie Geneva Jones.
Allen came to live in Saginaw, Michigan when he was two years old. He attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1983. He was self-employed as a handyman and loved working on yards, homes and anything he could get his hands on.
Allen enjoyed barbecuing for family and playing dominoes. He was very funny, always the life of a party. He was so funny, his family often referred to him as Bernie Mac. Allen also enjoyed his morning walks. It was during these early morning walks that he did his best thinking. He was truly a family man and a man of faith that will truly be missed.
Allen was preceded in death by his daughter April Marie Rucker; parents, Allen Clay and Jennie Geneva Jones; one brother, Eddie Cousin; sister, Doris Bonner.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Edna Youngblood-Jones; children, Tanisha Rucker, Robert Rucker, Kansas City, Missouri, Allen Jones, Jr.; five grandchildren, Zachery Rucker, Zikierya Brown, Zamarion Brown, all of Kansas City, Missouri, Allen Jones III, Amazine Jones, both of Saginaw, Michigan; sisters, Cora Louise Nelson, Leigh Hall, Denise (Charles) Williamson, Rosemari Cain, Eleanor (Clarence) Johnson, Evaun Smith; brothers, Clarence Nelson, Larry (Vickie) Nelson, Everetter (Marrin) Smith, Craig (Robin) Jones; lifetime partner and best friend, Tina Arnold; many nieces and nephews that he cherished and loved very much, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Bobby Kinnarel and Lorenzo Jones.
