Alithia Louise Bridgewater

Ms. Alithia Louise Harper-Bridgewater was born April 4, 1979, in Saginaw, Michigan to Louis Junior Harper and Estella Doris Marie Williams. She passed away August 7, 2022, at her residence at the age of 43 years.

Alithia loved life, music, singing and laughing, but most of all she loved her children, her mother, and her sisters. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, laughing, and making sure others were happy.

Alithia was an active member of Prince of Peace Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert B. Corley Jr. until she became her mother’s full-time caregiver. She graduated from Buena Vista High School (Knights) Class of 1997, and furthered her education at Baker College. Alithia worked for XO Communications 17 years, and was currently employed with Morley Corporation.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Darren D. (Papa) Bridgewater; daughter, Aaliyiah Janae Harper-Wilson; mother, Estella Doris Marie Williams; sisters, Kindra Danielle Barber, and Janell (Haratio) Turner, all of Saginaw, Michigan; brothers, Patrick Harper, Gulfport, Mississippi, and Thomas Harper, Saginaw, Michigan; aunt, Betty Sanders, Grand Rapids, Michigan; many uncles; godsister, Destiny Welford, Los Angeles, California; cousins, the Sanders and Steel family; a host of other family members; her buddies, Haratio Turner and Avy Wyatt; a  special friend who was close and dear to her heart, Charles Clemmons.

Alithia was preceded in death by her father, Louis Junior Harper, and many other relatives.
