Alfonso Reyna, Jr. (Lansing)

Mr. Alfonso Reyna, Jr. “Poncho” was born to parents, Alfonso Reyna, Sr. and Delia Salinas on January 6, 1955, in Brownsville, Texas. Poncho later moved to Michigan and spent most of his life in Lansing and Kalamazoo with his friends and family.

Poncho was loved and highly respected by so many. He loved and adored his family. They all meant the world to him. He enjoyed going camping, gardening, watching sports, cookouts, and going to yard sales. He loved to dance and adored his dog, Roxy.

Mr. Alfonso Reyna, Jr, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Sparrow Health Systems Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 66 years. He will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Poncho leaves to cherish his memory, loving partner, Julia Claudio; daughters, Delia (Lydell) Trainor, Elsa Reyna, Letisia (Sammy) Silva, and Briana Reyna; sons, Alfonso (Gloria) Reyna, III, and Reynaldo Reyna; bonus children, Joseph Claudio, Emilio Claudio, and Priscilla (Juan, Jr.) Vasquez; brother Reynaldo (Olivia) Reyna; sister, Olga Garcia; grandchildren, Lydell, Jr., NJ, Mercedes, Sirvontez, Santiago, Selena, Atyana, Alfonso, Naviah, Branden, Samantha, Nori, Miklo, Aracely, Domingo, Sammy, Jr., Milani, Natalia, Juan, III., Josiah, Anaya; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Reyna; mother and father, Delia and Alfonso Renya, Sr.; and sisters, Judy Lopez and Diane Salinas.
