Alexis Brown (Lansing)

Alexis Lynette Brown passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at her mother’s residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 24 years. She was born September 17, 1996, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Vernon Edward Brown, Sr., and Michelle Marie Roper.

Alexis was a resident of Lansing, Michigan where she worked as a home health aide. She enjoyed spending time with her children, family, and friends. Like her mother, Alexis was a social butterfly. She made friends wherever she went. Alexis was a kind, loving soul with a heart of gold.

Alexis leaves to cherish her loving memories, her children, GeoVanni Brown, Zymoni, Lilliann, and Alexah Brown; father, Vernon E. Brown, Sr.; bonus father, Steven Roper, Jr.; brother, DeVante Brown; niece, Laticyanna Watson; 5 aunts, Lisa (Tony) Benavidez, Amanda Albin, Lucy Brown, Tammy McDowell, and Christina Stefanick; uncles, Arthur Tamlyn, II, and James Brown; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle Marie Roper; brother, Vernon E. Brown, Jr.; grandmothers, Victoria Pettis and Victoria Brown; grandfathers, Benjamin Albin, James Pettis, Vernon Knox, and Steven Roper, Sr.; nephew, Myles Brown.
